Day 3 update

Well im still in wooster (booo hisssss) although I am getting into a wee bit of a groove now. Ive gotten used to the trainer so its not so much of a blitzkrieg of information anymore. Anyone who is in my class you are getting off easy! Imagine me talking 5xs as fast as I already do for 8 hours. WITH 10X's THE RANDOM TANGENTS!!!! That is what this class is like. It is draining to say the least.

Ok I dont know what it is with me but meals have been nothing short of dissapointing to me.

Chicken fettucine alfreado - noodles were all cleanexi (I just made a word!) and the sauce was just off. tasted wattered down but with a chunky consistency. not very good

BW3's
Spicey Chicken Sandwich. This could have been good except they toasted the crap out of the bun so everybite let forth a shower of toasted bread crumbs everywhere. Not very good.

SO im not having good luck with dinner. I have no idea what I want to do tonight. I have exhausted the "safe" options that are in the area and seeing as they have failed me I am even more hesitant to get adventurous with the local cuisine. Plus I cant stand amish restuarants. I dont know they just bug me. Maybe its cuz I think of the shakers and my deep hatred for them and their crappy over priced furniture which in turn reminds me of my deep seeted loathing for Frank Lloyd Wright. Ok Whats up with that guy? Yes I know hes dead but he still bugs me from beyond the grave. When I think of his architectural style it reminds me of another deep seeded hatred of an artist by the name of paul klee. Girl is green stockings!!! are you joking me? SO thats why I am not a big fan of amish restaurants. Thats right klee and wright killed a lot of things for me.

SO yeah not going to an amish restaurant. sigh I think the problem is im just so tired of eating. I usually dont eat that much and when I try to start eating more it actually makes me feel worse. I know their is some reverse psychology thing going on and that if I stick with it I can break through that and become once again normal. However im in the point where the thought of eating disgusts me and food of any kind just seems un-appealling. Example. Their is a Ci'Ci's , pizza hut, and dominoes here and none of them seem like good dinner options to me. NONE OF THEM. SO like I dont want pizza. That should show the full weight of my dislike for food and eating at the moment.

But on top of all that what really stinks is that b/c im away for training my work is paying for my food so I can eat basically whatever I want to. Usually im going crazy with this but not this time. I just dont want to eat anymore.

Day 2 update

Well its day 2 and im still here. Thankfully the training got out early yesterday (4pm) and I hope it gets out early today as well. The chairs here are brutal and well I have a wee but with little to no padding on it so I just feel like my tail bone is pressed directly against a piece of thick cardboard for like 8 hours. yikes! anyway last night i stayed up a lot latter than I wanted to but it was a good cause. Well I think it was a good cause. I finnaly got to the point where I was stuck the last time I was playing FFX. Well the place I got stuck last time was a boss battle and I just kept getting creamed. I think I tried like 5-6 times and I just could not beat this guy. Well I have more experiance in the FF universe now and so at about midnight I got to that battle. I was so jazzed I had to try to take the Sinspawn on. Well I beat the joker first time which was really sweet and got some really great cut-scenes so that was cool. however when I looked at the clock it was like 12:45am. DOH! That was a lot latter than I wanted to be up but it was worth it. Plus that when I went to sleep I had a hard time falling asleep so I guess it was good I stayed up that late. SO im really excited b/c today I finnaly start covering new ground in the game so thats cool. Well I will be updating as I can since their is nothing to do during breaks anyway.

Training...

Well its tuesday morning and I am in wooster. Last night was ok I guess. Got to the hotel around 4ish and got checked in then drove around wooster a wee bit (and I mean a wee bit) to see what was here. I went to wal-mart to pick up a co-ax adapter for the ps2 and it works samshingly. I have to give mad props out to madcatz for making some super cool stuff. For example to get a co-ax adapter from sony costs like 15.00 to get the madcatz one is 10.00 oh and did I mention it works with xbox and gamecube as well. SO its quite the bargain at 10 bucks. SO I came back and played FFX a bunch and then went out to booger king for dinner. I didnt really want fast food so that kinda sucked. Got back to he hotel and hit the jacuzzi for like 15 min which was really nice and relaxing and then got a call from my sweetie around 9pm. SO that was really great. Talked for like 45 min and then played FFX till about midnight. Then I went to bed. SO now im here and the training is supposed to run from 9-5. Im like oh my gosh are they serious. Thats SOOOOOO long. I think I will DIE. I dont know if I can handle 3 days of this I just hope the trainer is interesting. Well its 9 and he is supposed to be starting soooooo

Ok so today I leave for training and while I am really busy and feel like I have tons to do, today is really quite a sad day for me for a number of reasons. First off for the last 4 years at my job we have had an intern off and on named Phil. Phil has become a really good friend to me and at the end of this week he is leaving for bigger and better things. SO thats sad to begin with but because of the training I am going to I am going to miss his going away party. so poop on that. Also Im really really really going to miss lisa. Its really hard being away from her and its even more so now. SO to say that I am not looking forward to going to training would be a bit of an understatement. But in case you guys are wondering what swank crib i will be marinatin in for the next week here ya go

It looks pretty nice. I like that I get to pick where I stay (within reason) for this stuff. SO this hotel has a workout room, pool, and jacuzzi which are musts for me as I need to keep working out even when I am away. Also they say they have "free wireless internet" I hope that means they have free wired net as well since I dont have a wireless card but maybe I can talk them into letting me use one from the hotel or maybe the good guys at TCCSA will let me borrow one. If they have one that is. B/C I dont want to be without net access for the whole week. Geesh that would suck.

SBC as a company is dumb. Ok I have to call in high speed internet lines all the time. They have an automated phone system that goes like this

Yes I'm bored

Ok I know I post to my blog a lot but their is a reason for that at least right now and that is things at work are very very slow. My primary job is fixing stuff thats broken and then keeping it from breaking again. SO I guess I have been doing a good job b/c nothing major has happened for like a month. Plus school is getting ready to get out so people generally stop caring at this point. However the summer is going to be insane! Tons of projects with scopes as big as, well.....things that are really big! ^_^ SO I am not complaining although I have seen all that I care to see on the web for awhile. SO that's why I get to update like daily. Its mostly due to boredom.

Anyway last night I went to gamestop to take back my bad PS2 mem card and the guy is like sorry we don't have any. Then the other guy their basically pointed out that he was an idiot and looking right at them. SO I got a licensed Sony mem card in trancelucent red which is cooler than the black one I had before. And yes it worked! So I was able to put in a good 3.5 hours into FFX last night. I really love that game. I think it will be at least as good as FFVII so I'm totally geeked. Other than that I'm tired and feeling totally un-motivated. I have done nothing for my class this week and its tomorrow and I also need to start working on my Sunday School lesson for this weekend. sigh. All I really want to do is go home crawl back into bed and sleep for awhile then get up and play games. I'm just tired ya know?

SO I don't have pics up from climbing but that's just b/c I was too lazy to pull them off the card yet. I think I might have some time tonight so who knows maybe.

Diesel Vs Sparky

Ok I dont really even remember who was the first person to say this but kinda like the Moby comparison their have been a few people (who obviously need glasses) who think I look like Vin Diesel. Ok this one I think is a real stretch. I mean yeah looking at these two pics we have a very similar skin tone and yeah the shaved bald head thing is a given but lets face it Vin's like huge, in a good way. He's totally ripped and then there is me.... Vin does not have the anorexic look going like me so I find the comparison a bit of a stretch. Plus Vins got a great voice and well I sound like a girl on the phone so I dont think anyone is worried about me coming after them for revenge or anything like that.

Ok back to a little place I like to call reality. Things have been going ok. This week totally stinks b/c lisa is gone almost everynight till late with meetings and all next week im going to be in Wooster (yuck) for training. SO its going to be like two weeks till we really get to spend some time with each other and that is just not acceptable. Other than that I have really been feeling the need to get a break from work and life and do something outside. SO yesterday Sara, Luke and I went climbing up at John Bryan State Park. It was really good but I am REALLY sore. my forearms and hands are just killing me and I think I hit one of my knees on the rock b/c its kinda sore too. I hope to have some pics up soon, maybe tommorow. Other than that tonight is going to be FFX night. I hope to get a good mem card and really get a good solid start to the game. Thats one of the great and not so great things about Square RPGs. You have to be ready to devote a couple of hours to them right from the beggining just to get through the opening stuff. But the opening stuff is usually really awesome so im not complaining.

Ok todays installation of who do I look like will probably blow you out of the water. I know what you are thinking but let me give the story first.

Ok im sitting at work and the phone rings -- its lisa. SO im like hey how you doing and all that stuff and then the conversation goes a little sumpin like this

Lisa - SO im sitting at my desk and one my co-workers goes "hey lisa doesnt that look like your Chris on the TV" SO I turn around and was really surprised at how much you did look like the person.

Me -- was it moby?

Lisa -- no it was Orlando Bloom!!!!

Me -- who?

Lisa -- you know the guy from Lord of the rings!!!

Me -- if you mean gimli im not going to think this is very funny

Lisa -- which one was Gimli?

Me -- the dwarf

Lisa -- no no no this is the guy you like with the long blonde hair

Me -- Legolas? no no no I dont look anything like that guy

Lisa -- No really they had him on TV with his head shaved, you look a lot like him

me -- Huh i will have to see a pic of him then.

SO that was the first occurence. then a few months later at church we were talking with some friends about the Ohio ren festival and what we would dress up as. Well her husband is like a Rowan Atkinsons clone so I was saying he needed to go as the black adder and she was all like yeah and we need to get you a blond wig so you can go as legolas -- you look just like orlando bloom.

SO there ya go 2 non-family members unsolicited opinion that I look like orlando bloom.

Anyway Game update

beat the super hard final boss in Parasite eve and can now but that game down for a long long time. Also got a PS2 mem card so I can start FFX tonight. HE HE HE

Started Knigts of the Old Republic 2 (KOTOR2) and WOW its way cool. We liked the first one and the sequel has a much better beggining pace than the first one did. SO its fun. We have already done a ton of stuff and we have not gotten on the first asteroid yet. SO im very excited about what this installment is going be like.

Ya know in this light you look a lot like Gandhi

Gandhi Vs. Sparky


Ok I was going to save this one for last but since Sue made the comment referencing Gandhi in my last post I figured this was a good time to throw this one up. Ok so lets analyze!

Again like moby Gandhi has the emaciated bald guy thing going very strong which is of course why I "look" like him. However in contrast with moby I would say my skin coloring is more in line with Gandhi than Moby but still not as dark as Gandhi. SO here is the approximate story of how the comparison came to be...

It was about 2 maybe 3 years ago and we (the family) were having dinner at this really nice steak place called carvers for lisa's B-day. Well I was all dressed up trying to look nice for my honey and sitting across from me is Sue. About half way through dinner she just looks at me and say "You know in this light you look a lot like Gandhi" Granted the lighting was very ambient -- Low ceiling light accented by candles on the table -- However I still don't think I look like Gandhi. But it is a comparison that has been made none-the-less. ^_^


Game update:
PS1/PS2
Wow I have really been bouncing. First I tried to play FF8 -no go disk is damaged and would not even load the intro so I gave up on that one for now. Next I tried Chrono Cross again disk is damaged and was skipping like a stone. Very annoying so I moved onto FF9 which I knew would work b/c I found it and purchased it new from none other than blockbuster. However I'm not really in the mood for FF9 right now b/c of how cutesy it is. I really am in the mood for something more serious SO I broke out this disk wizard thing that is supposed to be able to fix cd's dvd's etc. Well I tried it on both ff8 and CC. Well it had no effect on FF8 but it made CC work!!!! Until a certain point about 3 hours in where it locks up when peppor tries to cast pepporbox.

IT DOES THIS EVERYTIME!!!!!

So just for kicks I tried it in my new ps2 (thanks Jason!) same effect. Then I tried FF8 in the ps2 and wow it works in there. But I have little faith in it working consistently well. SO yesterday I bought FFX. I started playing it a couple of years ago borrowed from a friend and never got to finish so its been hanging over me for a long long time. However I read this morning that I also need to get a memory card so that kinda blows. But oh well once I get one that will be it and I will be able to start dedicating some serious time to FFX. Then probably CC or FF9 don't know yet. More than likely it will be FX-2 ^_^ Yuna ROCKS!

Still working on Metal Arms. I really think metal arms is why I don't want to play FF9. Metal arms is really cutesy but destructive at the same time so it really calls to me right now. Its also really hard, I finally after like 20 tries made it past one spot and now I am at a boss battle so I need to beat that to see what lies ahead. Other than that I'm hoping to beat Parasite eve soon so that Lisa will be ready to embark on KOTOR 2 and then perhaps Fatal Frame 2 Lots of great sequels Oh and I really need to try DDR 2 on live since I have the trial for another 1.5 months.

Moby Vs Sparky

Ok this is the first in a 4 part series (maybe more) where I will post a pic of me beside a pic of someone famous I have been told I look like. Ok disclaimer -- I am not making this stuff up and am only posting it if someone (other than my wishfull imagination) has told me. If their is a good story behind it then I will try to list that as well. Ok so here goes...

I have started with Moby b/c well yeah despite the fact that our coloring is really diff as evidenced by these pics I have been told by a lot of people that I look like moby. I dont know if its just the skinny bald guy thing or what but hey there ya go. I also have to say that of all the people I have been compared to I see a resemblence to moby more than to the others. But I will let you decide for yourself. SO for today stop and take a good look and say

"Dude what are you smoking you dont look nothing like Moby!"

Whoo hooo!!!

Ok I have to give a major thanks to my Brother-In-Law for bestowing upon me a PS2!!!! Yeah I finnaly have one!!!! Its sooooo cool and I have not even plugged it in yet! ^_^ SO thanks Jason so much its really cool and I cant wait to get Final Fantasy X and X-2 for it. As well as a whole slew of other japanese RPG's -- Im in heaven. Also like I totally needed this wee pick me up. the last week and a half has been rough to say the least and this is a totally nice and unexpected surprise. So again wooo hoo and thanks. Also for X-mas Jason got me this really cool panda robot toy called Panda Z. Its like this giant robot panda with spikey wings that has half of its head removed and reveals a kinda cockpit for this cute little panda to sit in and control. SO in short Japan rocks and they have all the cool toys. Perhaps I will be able to get a pic of Panda Z fighting My EVA unit 4 for control of my giant can of slim fast! Now thats an anime in the making!

Ok so i get to work today and my first phone call goes a little something like this

caller: hello Chris is William Griffith available?

(now that's my boss but he goes by Bill and we get a lot of vendor calls that we screen for him so I didn't just pass it off to him cuz it seemed phisshy)

me: yes I think he is in but is there anything I can do to help you out
caller: well this is the FBI and I'm investigating a fraudulent online tip that we just received from your network about Osama Bin Laden.

me: ??????? (CRAP)
me: wow ok I think I can help you with this.

SO I talked to him some more and got the information that I needed to start my investigation. And in case your wondering what the "hot tip" was. Apparently Osama Digs on Wal-Mart b/c a guy who lives on Faggot ln. Says he saw Osama at the walmart in Beavercreek. I actually started to laugh when the agent told me that part and he says "this is not funny" and I replied "No I don't think its funny either I just cant believe how stupid people are" He agreed.

SO this was obviously a priority since its like the FBI so I got the info I needed and called him back. Within about 20 min the school had the kid in the principals office getting the royal smack down (in a figurative sense not literally)

What a weekend.

Ok the main gist of my rant I mean blog today is going to be about the weather and why I cant stand it. As I have said other places I like in south west ohio. And yeah the weather here is a wee bit cheeky.

1. last week on wed and thursday it was so warm and sunny that It actually put me in a good mood (i know what your thinking and yes I was in a very good mood)

2. On Sat Lisa, Sue, Sara and me went to this outlet mall and well the temps were now in the 30's and it was snowing quite heavily. Oh and did I mention this was along side a 20-30 mph gusting wind. SO the weather on Sat was really quite dreadfull

3. Sunday it was still cold but started to warm up again and finaly yesterday was in the high 60's and required top down driving.

Now to my main complaint. Because of this screwy weather I am now getting a sinus / head cold just b/c the weather cant make up its mind. Its just nuts that one day its snowing like a blizzard and two days later Sara lays out in the sun.

I feel like im living in Bizzaro world.
